Become a Volunteer

Join the dedicated team of Heritage Hospice volunteers and donors who contribute their time, talent and treasures.

Volunteer your time and talent:

Volunteers play a very important role in our hospice program. Volunteers contribute to the quality of patient care and bereavement support to families. They are specially trained and educated in the hospice philosophy as well as in direct patient care. Our volunteer opportunities encourage professional growth and personal awareness of hospice principles.

The following are types of volunteer opportunities at Heritage Hospice:

  • Special Event Volunteer
  • Bereavement Volunteer
  • Administrative Volunteer
  • Direct Patient Care Volunteer
  • Professional Volunteer

Make a financial contribution:

Heritage Hospice is able to service anyone in need regardless of ability to pay because of generous donations from the community. Your contributions help us provide inpatient and homecare services, medications, grief support and spiritual care that empower the dying to live their final days in dignity and comfort without the worry of being a financial burden to their family.

All donated funds are used in the community where they are raised, unless donors request otherwise.

If you would like to contribute to support hospice works or discuss how you might be able to volunteer or offer other service, we invite you to contact Courtnie Nikitaides, our Volunteer Coordinator at (770) 423-5959 or email courtnienikitaides@heritage-hospice.com

“It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.”
